Are there any activities to reduce the scar?

I have deep scars, long and thick. I tried a gel (I knew what it was) and lightens the color of my scars, but not make them smaller. Does anyone know of any cream that helps make my scars smaller? I've heard Scarguard MD was thinking test. Or any kind of medical help to reduce my scars? I heard that can help acne scars, but do not know about the huge scars.
